[PortlandOntario.com] Fishing cottages and camps in the 1930s and 1940s

I see your image of the Angler’s Inn circa 1916 and believe my grandfather (I.B. Babcock) and a gang of his friends may have rented the Inn 1936-1940 for a fishing camp – I have photographs of them and what appears to be the Inn. Are there other images of the Inn you have? I also have papers indicating Babcock and others (incl. Danny Arnstein) may have had a cottage on Colonel by (Long) Island in the early 1940s which burned down in the mid-late 1940s, after which Arnstein built his Wag’s Lodge. I’d be curious if you have any references to that also. Finally I remember (circa 1959) going fur supper at what to me was a fisherman’s club, wood paneling, lots of fish and pictures hanging on the walls, perhaps a BYOB club. Does that ring a bell with anyone?
