The trek route consists of six segments beginning at the courthouse green in Brockville and concluding at the Perth Tay Basin six days later. The first day of the Trek is a distance of about 11 km starting from the Brockville courthouse green and ending at the village of Lyn.

Day 3 of the Trek is a distance of about 18 km starting from the village of Athens and ending at the village of Delta.

The fifth day of the Trek is a distance of about 19 km starting from the Hanna Park in Portland and ending at Rideau Ferry. Trek from Portland to Rideau Ferry may be accomplished by canoe along Big Rideau Lake or by foot along the Cataraqui Trail.
